I am a Work in Progress
I am a Work in Progress
What do you think of this statement as a daily reminder? ‘I am a work in progress’. A reminder that there is no ‘end goal’ to life. That life is a journey, and every day is about learning something new. Something new about yourself, something new about the world and the people around us, something new about your capabilities and your dreams. ‘I am a work in progress’ should be our motto. It should be emblazoned on our hearts so that we learn to ease off the accelerator, ease off the pressure and remember that we are ALL a work in progress, and that’s ok!
5 Ways Authenticity Leads to Happiness
5 Ways Authenticity Leads to Happiness
Why is authenticity important? Is it just this lovely ideal or is there more to it? Well, based on the name of this blog you’ll no doubt have gathered that I believe authenticity has a major role to play in our happiness. So, let me explain.
Authentic living affects all areas of our lives. It affects the way we show up for ourselves and it affects the way we put ourselves out into the world. It affects our relationships, and it affects our perspectives. Simply put, being true to yourself helps you show up as a better person and helps you live a better life. Here are 5 ways that authenticity can lead you to a happier life.
Is your Identity Set in Stone?
Is your Identity Set in Stone?
When last did you take a moment to think about who you identify as? What is identity? Beyond the role of Mother, Daughter, Boss. Who are you? For some this may seem like a strange question. I’m just me! And, yes, that’s true, but it’s the ‘just’ that I have a problem with. We put so much importance on the labels that society places on us and so little on the ‘me’! When the ‘me’ is who we really need to identify with. Your identity needs to be linked to the truth and beauty of who you are as a soul, not who you are on paper. And, to the question ‘Is your identity set in stone?’, I would argue ‘No, not at all!’.
What is Enough, and Do I Already Have It?
What is Enough, and Do I Already Have It?
I’ve been ruminating on this word ‘enough’. What does it mean? This word carries so much emotion for me. When I say the word, emotion bubbles up out of nowhere. I feel like it holds so much truth. As if it is spoken to me by source. Enough. Such a powerful word, don’t you think? But what is enough? What does it mean about us? About our lives? If we say ‘I am enough’, what does that really mean? Does saying it feel true in your body? Does it resonate with you on a deeper level?
