Where do I start telling you about My Saltwater Skyline?
Born out of my own Personal Growth Journey, this is my space where I share my tips and experiences on self-discovery and finding your way back to yourself. I invite you to join me in learning how to be better and happier people, and to live our best, most authentic lives.
I am here because I think what the world needs most is connection. People need people. We need to hear stories that resonate with us. Pep-talks that get us out of bed on the bad days.
We all need to feel connected.
We need to be reminded that just listening to the right song can change our mood for the entire day. Yeah! (Cue ‘My Happy Place’ playlist ☺)
I am here because I believe that too often we feel alone in this world. We feel misunderstood and frustrated. But, get this, we are not alone! We walk this path of life together. My goal is to help us remember how similar we are at our core and to find a way to connect.
As a Mum to two amazing children (plus one big kid!), I know that feeling of connection can get lost in a sea of day to day chores and obligations and I think we all need that something that we can turn to, to re-connect with ourselves and other like-minded people who help us to remember that we are not alone. Who help us look for the silver-lining.
Plus, there’s just something about sharing! We are taught as little kids to share and there is a beautiful, and powerful reason for this. It’s something we ALL need. It is something that gives so much joy and satisfaction. That, in short, is why I am here! I want to share my thoughts, my ideas, my experiences and my favourite things with you! Maybe we find our interests are aligned and we get to share that warm, fuzzy feeling we get when we feel like someone ‘gets us’. Don’t ask me why we care so much about whether or not someone ‘gets us’, but we so, so do!
We need to feel understood and accepted. So when I tell you I grew up listening to Walt Disney records (Yes! Records! I’m 46 ok!) and singing along at the top of my lungs with my 2 older sisters you will have the first puzzle piece in the masterpiece that is Stephanie! Lol!
On this blog I will talk about what excites me, and maybe we can get excited about things together! Life has so much going on, so much to offer, and I want to spend my time focusing on the great things that make up this life and this world that we live in. I hope you will join me in exploring different subjects that help us learn more about ourselves and grow into the people we were born to be. Let’s find reasons to lift each other up and to make each other smile! I am so excited to be here and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you!
