Mother’s Day Quotes That Say It All

It’s that time of year when all those beautiful Mother’s are on our minds just that little bit more than usual.  We are thinking about them and how much they mean to us.  We’re pondering over the perfect gift, the perfect Mother’s Day card and how to make their day special.  That one day that is focused on showing them how much we appreciate them.

With that said, I love a good quote and these one’s will help us get into the best headspace when planning to spoil (and appreciate) that special lady we call Mom/Mum/Mama.  Wherever you are in the world our Mother’s are a true blessing and deserve to be cherished and honoured on this day (and all the others, guys, come on!).

Where Would We Be Without Our Mothers?

These quotes say it all.  Our Mothers guide us, lift us up and show us what we are made of.  We turn to them in our time of need.  We share our highest highs and our lowest lows.  How often do we stop and think about the extent of what we have been gifted by having a loving Mother?

They aren’t just there for the good times.  From sleepless nights and broken hearts to celebrating wins and sharing big news.  There’s never a ‘Do Not Disturb’ or a ‘No Entry’ sign.  Hearts wide open.  This is a lesson in kindness we could all take with us into this life.  These quotes remind us that without our Mother’s we wouldn’t be the person we have grown into.

A Celebration of Love

I love the words used in the Mother’s Day quotes listed below.  You can feel the love and adoration for their Mothers and it’s so touching.  Do these quotes take you on a trip down memory lane, reminiscing over the lovingly packed picnic lunches or evenings on the couch getting your hair combed.  For me they are a reminder of the calming presence in my life that is my Mother.  God certainly did a good job when he made her!

Share your memories with me in the comments (and share these quotes with your Mom too, maybe in a card).  I would love to hear stories from your childhood that take you right back to that place of love.

A Mother is Irreplaceable

The next few quotes are a reminder that there really is only one.  Yes, you can have more than one special person in your life but there is something so incredible about the bond we share with our Mothers.  You may say it comes from the physical aspect of spending the first nine months of your existence on this earth within her belly, but for me it is almost a spiritual connection.

My beautiful Mother lives across the ocean from me, and somehow her love travels across all that distance in every moment and every day.  I know I am loved and that is something she has given me.  It isn’t taught, it is shown, it is felt.  Love is a gift lovingly wrapped up in years of care, attention and dedication.  And, it is truly the greatest gift (and lesson) of all.

Life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mother – Unknown

A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take – Cardinal Mermillod

As Mother’s Day draws near I hope these quotes remind you of the gift that is your Mother.  Take this opportunity to recall everything she has done for you, whether it be absolutely unconditional love, forgiveness or support in some area of your life.  Realize the hours, days and years she has dedicated to you, always putting your needs first.  Make this Mother’s Day more special than any one before it.

I hope these Mother’s Day quotes have inspired you, and reminded you of why it is that we celebrate on this day.  I hope they’ve got you thinking about all the things that make your Mother special, and everything she has done for you.  When Mother’s Day rolls around, make it extra special this year.  Remember all the birthdays she made extra special for you?  Now it’s your turn to show your appreciation.  Wishing you, and your Mom, a day spent in joy and togetherness!
